Might be too early but it’s possible, how old are they? I’ve never seen my chicken molt until September/October sometime some in the middle of the winter.

It must be Mabel (although confused as to why Doris hasn't started laying she doesn't mother her chiccks anymore) as yesterday the egg was proper big, she is still being mother hen. Hermione was the same she was laying probably 2 weeks before they stopped sleeping under her!

Sure is! Not sure if my girls will molt this year, the 3 born November I'm mainly thinking of? Guessing the chicks won't either.
