I can understand that both boys love my poor olive egger came out at 6 tonight have
one of my blue girls molting 3 silky are

it’s been strong wind advisory the whole day that we had had no power since 1 pm. Luckily the 15 eggs in the incubator are @friends house. I almost set 7 eggs this morning in Brinsea mini, that could had been bad, temps in the House dropping to 50s.

I have several extra roosters and they are running the hens ragged fighting over who gets to breed them. Time to put some of them in the freezer.

Oh this is so my world! I ave 5 roos and 14 hens and it was going fine but not so much now (hens getting too much attention now spring is here!). Need to buck myself up and make some decisions about who goes (so hard when they are all so lovely - I thought I'd get some not nice roos to make the decision easy (although I always ask my breeders about thier roos and they both that I've used so far said they have lovely boys so the genes are good!)).

6 today may have actually been 7 as there was a broken / squashed one - didn't look like it was eaten really just I think trod on and squashed into the shavings!

I’ve just noticed too some of my hens are looking ragged due to over breeding, the roosters are almost 7 months old, and they must have favorites.

Thanks, we’re safe but was cold last night in the house, electric company said there were Over 50,000 homes w/o power, no water, no heat. Had to drive 10 miles to my in-laws to get water for the chickens since everything frozen.

Only 2 from my 4 girls. Fewest I've gotten since they all started laying. Bad weather maybe?

But, I tell you what, my Brahma Aster lays such lovely eggs! Smooth and shiny! All my girls lay eggs the exact same tint of brown, but hers stand out. So purdy! I tried to take a pic, but couldn't quite capture it.
