I got 14 eggs today

5 from the main coop 2 from silkie

I got 7 today, 2 from the pen and 5 from the cage

When did the pullets hatch? The 2 times I got them at the end of April they started in the fall and then quit for the winter All three batches that were early June hatches started later in the fall, even officially at the beginning of winter and (at least so far) kept at it.

I got them as POL pullets, I brought them home July 28, the guy said they were 5 months old. He had several hatchings so it could be the EE is younger than the other two. She was the last to start laying too. Hmm. Well that's interesting and definitely something to consider when getting chicks again.

11 eggs for me today.
I weighed all my eggs the other day to see which categories they fit into. I found out the about 1/3 of them were in the Jumbo range ( more than I thought); 1/3 in the extra large range ( again more than I thought) and the last 1/3 was everything else ( I had 1 or 2 in the medium range, the rest were larges).
