How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

I got 4 out of 6 today! The largest 67 grams, the smallest was 49 grams from the Welsummer.

I got my largest egg ever on March 1 - 105 g, probably from my old buff orpington. Had it for breakfast today - double yolker! My first one.

ETA: my bantam silkie was trying to brood the double yolker with her clutch of 5 silly girl was running out of room!

I find it hard to get my customers back after winter break from the hens. Once they stop buying at the store we are back in business. It does get scary with a backup of eggs though.

My 4 customers can't wait for the girls to get back up to speed after the fall/winter slump!
I have the 4 dozen I will deliver to them on Thursday plus another dozen DD2 is taking tomorrow to work to sell to a guy there.

11 today, turns out yesterday was 13, not 12. I'd forgotten to bring in an egg I'd put in the basket in the barn earlier in the day.

My hen who was wanting to go broody has gone A.W.O.L.
I suspect she's found some hiding place that I haven't been able to locate yet.....

9 from the big girls thought I saw a few up in their yard yesterday driving back in from the bulk of day gone today there might be 2 in small coop if not already broke but 2 in silkie coop

Ok I don't really throw eggs at people's houses
I give all my friends and family eggs, I eat a LOT of eggs, and I sell the rest.

I have a couple of regular customers, but at a dozen a day, am soon going to have more than they will buy. So I take them to my church's self-supporting Community Services Center, where we give away free gently used clothing, and sell them for a dollar a dozen. The money goes into the Center's operating fund, which pays for laundry soap, toilet paper, utilities, etc. It's not much, but it helps.

I don't know why I never thought of doing that before! I love the idea! I'm gonna have to go talk to the head of my church's food program tomorrow!

Oh ya here they love the fresh eggs I use others cartons not my own
as usually will not get them back here at least they like to cut them in half get to give eggs to more people that way
