I got 12 today and my broody hen, just out of jail, is staying well away from the nest boxes.

Isn't that why soap and water were invented??

10 today. 2 had toe punches that didn't pierce the membrane.

But once you wash them, you can't set them back under the broody. I was more worried about lots of partially developed babies, but I think she had already been harassed and abandoned the nest.

24 eggs, 16 golf balls, and 1/2 lb of poop!

Got 15 today! That's a record. Plus I have two broody. I also saw no evidence of broken or eaten eggs, but I will continue to offer the soap and mustard eggs along with keeping the fake eggs in the nests.
So, 12 bantam and 7 standard hens, 2 bantam and 6 standard pullets, making 15 eggs out of 27 layers minus the two broody.
