"Only" 12 today ... have been getting 13/14 lately. One of my 3 yo BO's is thinking about going broody, I think. She sat long upon 3 eggs this afternoon, and had that deeply thoughtful look about her. You know, that kinda constipated look... and she gave me a half-hearted peck when I reached under her. I reached anyway, lol. Those BO are not very productive. They just started laying again a few days ago!

I found my 1st duck egg today, laying out in the open on the ground! So I decided to investigate & found 1 buried in their shelter.

So 2 duck eggs today & 23 chicken eggs (1 of those was a shell~less egg lying on the ground under a Miss Fatty Sapphire pullet).

Gave 16 dozen eggs away today!!!

Found my egg eater! It’s Pella the black copper Marans. Caught her pecking holes in two eggs and broke a third chasing her away from them! I am about ready for a chicken dinner! (Except tomorrow I would miss her.) Threw her in the other pen alone for now. She left me 4 eggs, probably all I get today.
