Good find. There is a lady here that has been advertising organic fed pullets on Front Porch Forum for a couple of months. Should start laying between Halloween and Thanksgiving. IIRC they are early June hatch. I think she got a big shipment from a hatchery and figured to cash in on the rush to get chickens when Covid hit. She finally put a price on them yesterday - $20. I'm not biting for that price. That's a shame Bruce! I felt lucky to find some vaccinated ones. I didn’t have a choice of breeds either but since they are red sex links at least the chances of eggs are good! Oh and they were $7 each! What a bargain!
In North Carolina? Nah, she'll keep them warm when they need to be warmed and they will run around during the day.I might have to bring her inside with her chicks by the time they hatch.
It takes time to get the factory running smoothly!3 out of 10! What the heck? Just started working and taking a day off already???
I have had birds of this breed freeze solid when temps get around 20.In North Carolina? Nah, she'll keep them warm when they need to be warmed and they will run around during the day.
Don't worry...they'll start laying more regular...just takes a little time!3 out of 10! What the heck? Just started working and taking a day off already???
For a second I thought that meant four fifths instead of four out of five and I was like how the heck did you get four fifths of an egg
