How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

When the last tagless dog showed up at my house, I contacted the owner and said they don’t get their dog back until they have a name tag. The owner did get a tag the next day and my husband put it on the collar before they left Haven’t seen that dog ever again...

5 out of 10 today but 2 more that were thin shelled left on the poop board. Good part is that one of the good eggs were from a first time layer.

We are only getting 2-3 daily out of 9 hens. Actually have two that aren’t laying any more for the time being I hope. Waiting to find out.

2 so far. Expect a few more (1-3) as the day goes on. My birds are new at this, still figuring things out. Have two CornishX, age 25wks, 1 of whom is laying for sure, the other??? All three of my Comets *should* be laying, they are in their 21st week. I believe two are. Maybe one of the Rainbows, they should have started laying a few weeks ago. and one of the two ducks (early for them, actually).

The Brahma aren't due to start laying till next month, like the Comets, they are in their 21st week, and they are slow starters.

/edit to add:

Two more eggs have appeared. By shape and color, two different breeds dropped them. At a guess, I have 1 egg from the Cornish, 1 from a Rainbow, and two from the Comets. This would be so much easier if my birds laid different colored eggs, but the whole flock drops brown - except the Pekin ducks, which are truly white. Supposedly, the Cornish eggs are just lightly tinted.

/edit and one more egg. That makes 5 today, a new record for my flock.

Just 2 bantam eggs from 7 bantams. Bc its autumn now, my 4 Dutch bantams (5 and 6 years old) stopped laying.

I went out after 5 to collect all of the late eggs & found 2 under Spazzy, my broody girl...one of them was my largest egg so far...79g, sadly it was broken on one end, probably from her trying to pull it underneath her! Only 8 eggs today!
