Double yokers are usually new layer or like sometimes after molt and yes most often the egg does not support life.
I had 6 from big girls. 1 from banty land.

Should have 2 new layers end of February and 8 more the end of March.

Fingers crossed I can get breeding pens finished beginning of spring. What they will be constructed out of, I have no clue
