How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

It just seems like you should be getting more. My girls usually lay pretty good up until at least 3, maybe 3 1/2.
But maybe it's misleading because I have a gazillion chickens

I feel the same way. That’s why I’m not being too hasty and asking a lot of questions before I give up on them. And as always the answer may be right under my nose. Broody hens, another snake (yes, another snake) may be exactly what’s affecting egg production.

It was 3 out of 5 today, still going for the elusive 5/5 but then it's either one stops laying or one goes broody.

Our rainy season is winter which actually does affect egg production, but that’s mainly due to the shorter days and not so much the rain.

I use artificial light they get prenty of light... a friend said its cause they converter their food to heat not eggs when its cold. You think that is true ??
