How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

6/8 today. This seems to be the trend, but at least all my broody's are laying again!

Last Friday I got 9 eggs from my 9 hens! That's a first, but they have been averaging about 6 per day and my wife and I eat them all!

I eat 4/5 in a go so and get over 18 a week, people tell me it will give me but iv been doing it for a while and no problems..

18 yesterday from our 19 GC's. We added another 11 GC started pullets (18 Wks) to the flock and there's a lotta angst rolling through the henhouse at the moment. The older Gals are setting the pecking order and the Youngsters are feeling the pressure. But Teresa told me we've already gotten 14 this morning so it doesn't seem like the addition of the newbies is slowing down the laying like it did when we added the second six to our flock or those afterwards. We now have 30 hens/pullets and hopefully everything will settle out and we'll be getting full production by July 1st.
