So glad you found Goldie! I’d be so scared if my hens stayed out all night!

Thanks! She’s never done that before. Sometimes the door to the coop gets blown shut but they hop on top and stay until I get out there to put them up. But she’s never just not been close by. And she’s my tiniest Banty, so I was concerned. I guess she stayed under the horse trailer maybe.

I was up to 5 daily, then Rahab and Martha went broody, then Lydia started ailing, and now there are feathers all over the run.

Today I got 1.

In my case, just one bird molting has created an avalanche of feathers, so hopefully it’s only one or two girls molting in your flock. When Lydia recovers maybe you’ll have a full spoon rest of eggs again

I just collected the eggs from one yard and cannot remember if it was 8 or 9.
There are 10 laying hens there, so either way it's a good result.
