9/11 hens gave me their gift yesterday, lets see what today brings.

I always thank my girls, & also give them pep talks when they lag behind. Folks think I must be crazy talking to the chickens- Oh well seems ok to me I talk to the cat & dog, but then again I talk to myself too. I guess if I don't argue with myself I'm ok.

Of the 5 new hens, 1 just started laying and today is day #3, 1 egg.
However, she was standing on the window sill and it dropped onto the concrete porch and cracked. Maybe she just wasn't ready for it! All new to her I guess. (and me too, can you eat this egg? Membrane all still in tact, saw her drop the egg and picked it up immediately)
