How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

earlier I posted no eggs monday.
It turned out my neighbors son collected one.
I was in for surgery monday, so was not home till well into the afternoon.
So, 1/2 Monday, and 2/2 Tuesday.
He said he took it home, and did I want it back.
I told him to keep it.
I give them eggs all the time anyway.
they have been very good to me, going back almost 4 years when they started caring for my animals when I was stuck in hospitals for a long time.
matter of fact, I had to make him take some money to help cover some that they bought.
Wonderful neighbors, a second family to me.

4 from six pullets yesterday. Two have not yet started to lay.

Theyre getting a little bigger as we go. Mostly are 1.7 oz, I had one that was 2.0.

Yesterday I got 2 from 7 but I know 3 of my girls aren't laying yet. And I'm almost positive Honey is an evening layer hiding in the woods during forage time. One so far today, with one of my youngsters really trying her best.

Just collected 7/9 with one definite double yoke. It is much bigger than the others. I usually get 1 or 2 double yolks a day. The girls did good today!

indychristine, what kind of hens do you have? ...and those are BEAUTIFUL EGGS :)

I'm at 5 out of 8 so far... I bet if I crawl under my azaleas I'll find the ones I think they slacked on from yesterday and today... too hot so that's probably not going to happen! :p

My flock is mostly five months old, so they don't lay much yet. However, I have two Welsummer hens that are Easter chicks from last year and they've only laid maybe a dozen eggs between them since Christmas. Any word on why they're such reluctant layers?
