When mine first started laying they laid an egg every other day for a couple of weeks and then smoothed out to an egg a day. Don't give up!

3 this morning, 5 just now, but one cracked in my pocket.   (so 8/8)
Glad I'm not the only one who does that...my pocket holds 9 eggs
