first day we are 100% 7/7 Think there's 3 double yolkers there, proud of the hens in this heat and all. only thing was little gertie was trying to get in the same nest box as one of the large NHR's they had a pretty good fight. And I actually saw Gretie lay that long green egg in the middle today, first time I was in the pen with them during the lay.

3 chicken egg's today

Well it was 115 F by 10 AM so I think they did alright

We got two from five laying hens todays but soon we will have 9 laying hens !

I got 3 eggs from the old girls, there's 6 total and they are all 4years old, they are salmon Faverolles. My little buff laced polish layed a medium egg, for her only being two pounds and she lays a egg every day, I'm proud of her, that and she's the only one of 8 from the first batch that has made a year and a half. And one of the 4 month olds has layed her 4th egg today as well, she's an EE. I have 18 total chickens, 6 four year olds, 2 year and a half, 5 four month olds, and 5 that are 7 weeks old. I always love seeing the different colors of eggs I will find every day!

It's one of the more traditional Finnish names. A good US counterpart might be Ethel or something, sort of oldtimey.

Blooie, so sorry you had to do the ER thing!! I spent day at hospital myself getting pre-tests for surgery myself, yuck.wish him and you the best. Son been helping me more with chicken chores since my mobility has went down hill fast.ow ow, sit nope, stand kinda, I having so much fun, not!!
