6/15 today -- our new record......another new layer!

5 but one of my EE's was sitting in a nesting box.

2 duck eggs, 2 tan/brown eggs, one blue egg.

6/13 but really 6 out of 7.5 laying hens (I say 7.5 because I am not certain if that last one IS laying yet).

Apparently the key to egg production is to leave town - daughter sent me this picture of 2 of the 10/19 we got today - LOOK at that thing!

The one chicken has been laying for little over a week to two weeks now but the others refuse. Not sure why either.

Still 4/12 even though four of my pullets have started laying. Thinking some of my big girls have stopped laying altogether, as I'm getting an average of an egg a day out of 4 birds.
