6/9, and tomorrow or Tuesday should be hatch day for Agatha's brood....the 9 months I was expecting each of my kids didn't drag on as much as these 21 days have!

I'm so excited for you and Agatha! Can't wait to hear about the new chickies. I have decided I am going to be incubating some eggs for sure in November, I can't wait! I have some eggs lined up that are silver laced wyandottes and some EE mixes and I can't wait!!! I can't imagine 21 days dragging on longer than my 3 pregnancies (I was on bedrest for all of them and it seemed like time stood still some days) but I am so excited, anxious, and nervous that I think it's quite possible that it will feel longer than 21 days.

3/4 today! I am still getting 2-4 eggs per day and with the weather cooling off and days being shorter I am good with that. My girls are hard workers it seems!!

I am excited to hear about the upcoming chicks! I did my first hatch with a broody in July and boy, those 3 weeks do drag on forever

10 straight days our girls have laid. Out of the 10 days, our average has been two a day (we have four hens) and twice we've been gifted 3 eggs but for the first time ever, yesterday all four hens laid. It was great! 4/4. I doubt we'll get 4 again today as the fourth hen didn't lay until really late in the afternoon/early evening. My guess is she'll take the day off.

I have a RIR she started laying 2 weeks ago. I have found three eggs in less than 24 hours and I know its hers because the rest of my Chickens are pullets and my RIR lays painted eggs. Brown with little white dots all over.I didn't think it was possible. Is there something to worry about or is it just because she just started laying?
