2 out of 4 on this very cold and snowy day. This was the hens first experience with snow and they do NOT like it. Spent most of the day up in the coop.
So Scott, if it's real cold will you turn on a heat light at night? It's cold here tonight and my chickens haven't been in a real cold time yet either. They are cold hardy birds but I still worry about it. I have a heat lamp in their coop and will turn it on if it gets to cold. What about you? I'm just trying to get other peoples opinions. Thanks
13, today as well as yesterday with 18 leghorn hens and a feisty rooster named "KING TUTT"... a very busy young fellow of 8 months with his young ladies.
