How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

0 for me I lost all but 5 of my hens to raccoons.

I heard raccoon meat is good! Sorry for your loss... :-( was this recent?

I found two eggs this morning, yay!

Then I saw three POL girls go into one nest box .....at different times. And then the rooster went in the same nest box and looked around then walked out. I hope this means they may begin laying soon. Especially the rooster.......I could use a little extra money.

Everyone say it with me....1 out of 4. I'm happy to get at least 1 egg every day but I would sure like to go back to when we were getting 3 or 4 a day.

I'm so sorry Red Feather, that is awful. I have three babies you can have in January. Not sure of sex, that are a barnyard mix.

Aww, a colleague at my high school just lost all of his chickens in one night to a raccoon, too. He called it "The Thanksgiving Massacre."

Count my lucky stars every day for my electric poultry fencing...really hope it hangs in there through the winter months!
