How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

this is our rooster, Jacque very sick with a cold. He's sneezing like crazy. The whole flock got treated for the cold with VetRx, so no more eggs for us. The guineas keep plucking his back feathers out, so that's why it looks weird. They will be culled soon. =) or sold. Whichever comes first. Poor Jacque has a companion too!

Do you guys know of any herbal remedies for chicken colds?

I guess it was my Buff Orpington that gave me the first brown egg a few days ago. Caught her in the nest in the left and one Easter Egger, green, on the right.
And the white Leghorn

We had a snowy November and I learned then how much hate they have for snow. I even snowblow paths and areas for them and they still hate it. It's funny to watch them after I open the door to the coop. They start to walk down the ramp and as soon as the first hen see's snow, she stops in her tracks, turns around, and pushes the other girls back into the coop. There was one egg waiting for me.

Mine did not like the snow either. I hope chickens that live in really snowy places like it better.
