1 got 7 so far 2 being frozen solid. Grrr, who is laying overnight, dangit?

Frozen isn't bad. In fact, if you want to preserve eggs for eating for a long period, you can freeze them to make them last longer.

Whoever laid that tiny one the other day got out a big one today!!! I now have two new layers I hatched from last spring/summer. The old girls are waiting for warmer weather. Sure glad they filled in feathers before it got below zero!! Was worried for a bit.

I would be reluctant to feed chickens eggs. I wouldn't want them getting a taste for it.

I scramble them up, but yes i'm apprehensive still. The bully we culled recently was also an egg eater, or starting to be.

ETA: 2 more non frozen makes 9

3 taken from the enclosure today, 1 more I know pending out there, hopefully at least one more after that. I have been averaging 5 eggs out of 6 birds.
