How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

6 eggs and the weirdest looking "thing" in the nest box. It almost looks like it could be 3 or 4 small hard eggs formed into one odd shaped clump. I'm going to cut into it later to see if I can figure it out.

5 out of 14 the girls must be lazy today

This is our first time with chickens so every egg is exciting to us! This has been a learning process as well. Our hens started laying in October and we were up to 10 per day before the cold set in.

i got 10 eggs from 15 hens!! (two of which are bantams and don't lay hardly any eggs fall through winter)

We got two cartons today out of 32 hens. The girls have just started laying in the last two weeks. I am proud of them!

Grey egg layer is Greyslyn, she was the last and prettiest baby from her father (named Silver) green egg gene below. I guess I should have kept him, but during molting season he lost all his feathers and was not attractive to begin with and he looked like he was running around with no pants. I did hatch out a few more of her sisters eggs and have access to more. I can save people her grey eggs, but we will talk about it. feel free to message me it will be a very small group.

below mom she was a barn yard mix, but her sister had more of a pea comb, we got them both from another farm so I don't know the history.she would lay mauve eggs that is how we ended up with grey

The first time I saw grey eggs it changed my life- I tried hatching some from a farm, but they were not fertile. I have been working towards that color and it turned up.

what a pretty bird, I wish I was ready to hatch but I'm just not yet prepared. *scaredy cat* lovely grey egg
