How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

4 hens and 2 ducks but only 1 egg.

My girls were laying great for about three weeks. I was getting between 3 and 4 eggs a day. Then the weather turns cold again and they say forget this. All of the sudden one hen decides that now, even though she isn't laying, is a good time to go broody.

I have some eggs in the incubator so, maybe I will make her happy and give her some chicks to raise. Hopefully, the others will get back in the swing of things. Spring is knocking at the door saying it is time to lay some eggs. (I hope.)

I tripped, smacked the egg basket on the ground, on my way to down to greet mother earth with my face and broke half the eggs.....it's been a lovely day.....

This is Miss Lulu, she made her way back to the duck's quarters to lay an egg....only, she didn't lay an egg. But she did sit there for quite awhile. I captured a picture from the comfort of my living room via "duck cam"

Oh no! Hope you're ok! Lulu says "I know you're watching me and you're messing up my groove" lol

Sadly yes... I found those first few eggs hidden everywhere in that room... Bad part is... I found one almost a month later hidden between boxes that I was using to let them roost on... That one made a fast trip to the trash...
