I only got 6 eggs today out of 16 hens.

12 out of 17...I hope none are laying in my grove as they are all new to laying in the last month.

Today's haul. 7 of 8! Still got one that isn't laying I guess. The day I get 8 egg will probably be like the day I got my first and I'll freak out.

WHAAAT??? Looks like a Turkey egg!!!! I should slap myself for badmouthing my EE's. Guess when they start laying they get after it! Mine are sketchy, not friendly. I've had a separate nest box. very private out in the house in the run 2 blue eggs yesterday then this monster today! That had to hurt!

@Mutt Farm you have a double yoker. it should happen for a while then it should stop once her system regulates. I too feel sorry for the hen who lays them. Must be like delivering a 10 lbs plus baby, owwww.

Is there anything I can do? They are only 26 weeks. I'm afraid she'll tear herself or get egg bound.

One from four laying out of six mature hens. We suffered a hen lost today thanks to my jackass dogs some how getting one out of the fence off area.

I really don't know if there is anything to do sorry. she will come out of it eventually once her egg system gets into cycle.
