How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

Riddle me this 9 eggs from 8 chickens. 2 of them were soft in the roost, but I know they were both from today because we scoop the poop daily. It seems like when we get soft shells they always lay 2 at a time. That can't be normal.

4/5 small coop leghorns
4/7 large coop , not sure if my eyes are playing tricks or my chickens are messing with me! Today 3 dark reddish brown eggs in one nest , this is the color I'm used to getting from my 4 Red Comets. The next nest had a light tan colored egg, thought it was Lala (red Comet) because I caught her in that nest a couple of days ago. But when I put the eggs up in my storage egg crate that one egg is obviously alot lighter in color and a different shade of brown than the others! Buff O maybe?

I got 7 eggs today/ from 12 current layers/ out of 19 total, including pre-point of lay pullets, juveniles and littles.

10/13 for the past 4 days now

5 eggs today. I gave them a bunch of meal worms this evening, maybe that will pay off in a couple of days. I also turned the light on in the coop for a few hours. We'll see.
