Funny thing happened this morning I woke up thinking it was Friday

and I ordered a pizza for lunch and the delivery boy told me it was odd for me to be delivering in the middle of the week ,, woo it is funny getting old

Yesterday 6 eggs

Today 8 eggs

Yesterday control group 3 eggs

Today control group 5 eggs

Yesterday free range chickens 3 eggs

Temp average the last two das is 103 F degrees

so sorry about combining the last two days together but the heat got to me a bit as I was changing a timing chain on one of my grandson's car and late last night it got to me and I figured out again that I am not in my forties anymore and even this cool weather will get to my head anymore but there is nothing like showing the youngsters that the old man can do something's ha, ha ..... Oh but the shop wanted over $1,200 dollars to put in a fuel pump in the gas tank and change out the timing chain heck with rates like that maybe I should go back to work ....

Oh on a sad note I checked on my Spangled Russian Orloff's this morning for the normal feeding watering and egg check as I am trying to hatch some out and found one of the three lady's had passed over night and she was just recovering from molt and in her third year and so beautiful and close to five pounds I figured ya fat but that is how it works sometimes now down to two lady's and a roo in that breed ,,,,, I guess I should not hade sold all the chicks I hatched but now I am thinking it is time to get some more to widen the gen pool but it is so hard to find good stock .............

gander007 , so sorry for your loss. Does sound like a good time to rotate stock, and playing with baby chicks is good therapy!

2 so far this morning. I had errands to run (only took 6hrs, ugh) so I didn't go collect until later when I went to clean the coop. I should still have at least 2 more today hopefully, I know I have 1 for sure coming because she's been a regular layer.
