4/10 from the adult pen and the youngsters are getting started as we were 4/23 in that pen including a lovely little 33 gram from one of them. Pretty sure that was another first egg for someone in that pen. Still waiting for a sign that the lone EE in that pen is laying.
Total 8/33 and rising daily.
We thought we had an egg eater in the adult pen but it appears that there was only an appetite for eggs that were very thin shelled and probably broke accidently. Since putting out free choice pan of oyster shell out, the thin shells have not been seen so we are assuming that the problem is solved.

Temp 92 F degrees with cloud cover all day

1 Russian Orloff chick hatched today at day 18 but luckily I got a new one today to take it's place

and I only have two of them lady's left so maybe I can start a different breeding flock with them as I have another three RO roo's to rotate for the breeding pen .......

4/10 yesterday, still waiting on the cochins (5mos 3wks today), and the EE are still a little young I think (4 1/2mos today). The cochins keep going back and forth between a pink and reddish comb.
