How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

Count is down lately.5-7/14. I keep getting one that is very soft shelled. I have oyster shell out and the funny thing is she is laying the soft egg right next to the oyster shell dispenser! Anyone have any ideas?

Now that is some egg count ,, But what are you doing with the eggs   ?

We live in a relatively small town. We have lots of family and friends and we share a lot. Vegetables and a lot of other things. The eggs are just one thing that we share. It helps to keep us all connected.

7/16. Egg count has dropped from 10-15 to 6-8 in the past week. I think it is the decreasing light, so I plugged in my timers for the bulbs and set them to provide about 3 more hours of light per day, some at dusk and some at dawn. I read where they should have 14 hours of light per day, and here in Montana it is getting dark about 7 and light at about 7:30 now. Hope this helps.

I think that should help. Here in Missouri we have about the same light pattern. My girls had dropped off a lot a few weeks ago, so last week I started turning on the light in the coop and this week my egg count has come up a lot!
