I got 75 eggs from Sunday until today!! I have 19 hens total but some are not laying yet. Should hit full production soon.

Ended up with 7/14 today. They ate well today though. Finished digging the carrots and kohlrabi from the garden so they enjoyed their treats.

Temp 74 degrees in the yard or 69 degrees in the shade so it turned out to be a nice day to work in the yard ....





1 more Russian Orloff chick hatched today and a Molten Houdan chick did a peep this evening so it looks like another one should be joining the flock tomorrow ..

7 eggs yesterday.

@gander007 , both of the "sick" chickens I had to put down. The egg bound hen apparently had the egg break inside her & she was filling up with some kind of liquid, an infection of some kind I suspect. The rooster wasn't getting any better either. I put them both down as a mercy to them.

Just went out and got 4. Either have a new ee layer, or my Quail laid a really small one today. It was only 27g. Her others have maxed at 40g so far. We shall see.

3 so far today. Some of my girls are getting quite friendly. They were ignored and mistreated before I got them so this is an awesome breakthrough.
