How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

Yes either they need more light, different feed or more calcium. My girls just coming out of molt and it's been dreary here so extra lighting of 1 hour to get them started some. the pullets haven't started yet but I am trying out a solar light rope later this week on my older girls and if ot works I am going to add on to the Cochins and hope for the best.

Feed - they have layers mash plus a little mixed grain as scratch (mostly wheat with a little oats and corn) with a few sunflower seeds.
Calcium they have the layers mash plus freely available crushed oyster shell.
I have noticed this week that the both of them seem to be loosing a few feathers - moulting maybe?
Quite tempted to see if I can set up a bit of lighting for them. Its so gloomy even in the day at the moment.

Stop lowering the protein content of the feed by mixing things in. Layer feed is about 16% protein at most. By cutting it with scratch, you are reducing that protein content. Egg whites are nearly 100% protein, and it has to come from somewhere. Not enough protein means no eggs.

10/14 unless I have a really late layer.

I "cut" the feed with some grain and treats, but I also give them meat scraps and the occasional rib cage if we get a deer. This should help with the protein, correct. Even gave them half of a salmon one day.

Yep, high protein treats will help bring those protein levels back up.
Chickens are not vegetarians, they need animal proteins just as much as they need grains.
