How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

I knew to the chicken thing we got a couple chickens they're not laying eggs is it alright to use a red light instead of a white light will I still get the proper lighting with the red light
How old are they, and how long have you had them? There are lots of reasons for a pullet/hen to not lay eggs.

There 16 months old and I got them almost two weeks ago they laid two eggs right away nothing since

It's very normal for hens to stop laying when they are moved to a new home. Keep in mind that those first couple eggs were already forming before you brought them home. They will start laying once they settle in and feel comfortable. Lights won't make them lay any sooner, in that situation.

If their last home was in the same region as their new home, and they were laying before you got them, daylight isn't an issue. They need at least 8 to 10 hours, bare minimum. They produce best when they get about 14 hours. Days are getting longer now, so must flocks are starting to produce again. I went from no eggs the week of New Years, to getting 2-3 eggs a day this past week.
