Is there a certain type(s) of chicken(s) that lay double-yoke eggs?

Some 'lines' of particular breeds may be prone to laying double yolks. Double yolkers are most common in new layers. Most pullets will lay a few double yolkers before their systems regulate.

I got 5/6 today last year at this time, we got none from the girls....they quit laying last winter

Revision: 2 additional eggs were dropped from the roosts @9pm, luckily not broken.

5/6 and number 6 laid her first yesterday and was showing interest in the nest box today. She came out to enjoy some leftovers from the fridge, hamburger, cheese, and broccoli.
