How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

Hope the crazy freeloaders perk up on the egg production after they enjoy their Valentine's Day treat.

My friend had leftovers after she harvested her garden. So sweet. I'll have to take her a few dozen eggs once they lay again.

That waterer is empty ...... considering that eggs are mostly water by weight ......hmmm......

Happy Valentine everyone. I spent the day painting my room so my other half did the chickens all day. I was just out there and there was one to add my little bucket came out with 11/14 , the first I found this morning is big enough to be three but no idea who laid it but it is huge.

Yeah. I was changing it when I snapped this picture. There are 2 waters and feeders in the coop until we get the run secured. That way if they empty one the other is usually still half full until I fill both again.

Ended the day with 3 eggs of now 4 layers, six chickens.

Tomorrow I'm going to the feed store to see about chicks. I'm going to raise a few chicks for a friend, and a few for.... um.... dinner. I might keep 2 or 2 extra though we will see.... ;-) chicken math right?
