Shoot guys. I've figured out how to get my birds to lay

just let a dog scare the CRAP out of them. I haven't had eggs in a few days when suddenly I lose 4 to a dog. Then next thing I know within 24 hours I've got 11 eggs

Thats why I haven't let my free range we have 4 dogs ourselves 2 herding dogs, the 1 toy and the Labrador but then maybe I could get the last two to lay think?

The one that killed some of mine was a stray.

Just an idea to pass on to you. with the eggs being laid all over do you have golf/ping-pong balls in the nests? I had to put mine back in nests after molt so they would lay in nest boxes again. Silly girls laid every where. Still not getting up to pre molt numbers but it is improving.
4/13,1/2 chicks are starting to feather out on their wings.

0 eggs from the free range chickens and I found one of my hens sitting on some eggs

Temp for the day 82F degrees

2 chickens hatched

We had 7/10 for eggs yesterday...

Preparing for chicks in March!!! And hoping I can hatch some for the Hatchalong!

30/40 and 9/14. NDV treatment complete. Isolated chickens are improving as their poop color changed from yellowish green mucos with pure green droppings to gray brown and green droppings with little/small white mucos. Looks like two infections attacked my chickens. Cocci and NDV.

Keeping too many chickens is driving a long vehicle/truck.
