Ot picking up eggs today, walking is almost out of the question. Great birthday surprise.

5 from 6 hens. I do normally get 5 every day. Only 1 of my year old girls is not laying. I have not figured out why. I have checked her throughly and see no problems. She eats well a little bit of a loner but other than that she's my prettiest so I can deal with no eggs from her. Lol

I have 13 hens and one rooster and I get about 6 eggs a day. I don't know who is laying but I thought they all would be laying. They are all over a year old

They might all be laying. Some breeds lay every other day or so. The best way to tell (I never figured out the vent check) is to watch for nest box occupancy and get a few zip ties and tag those you see.

I have actually sat and watched my hens go in and out and removed egg after each hen. My non layer does go in and sits in nest but does not lay one. I do have 2 fake eggs so there is something in nest. I have done this more than once because like To. Jordan said not all will lay every day. Mine lay just about every day but my 1 does not lay at all. My girls are also just about a year old.
