How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

My Mom is moving to a rehab center on Thursday. We don't know how many days she will be there, (seems like the insurance company gets to decide that!), but hopefully she will be there long enough to build back her strength!!
I collected 22 eggs today, but I know some of them were overlooked by my hubby while I was gone.

happy she is well enough to be moved, We have the same insurance dilemma going here but she
has some awful infection driving the dementia. Seems in some ways she has turned the corner to
sittin up but now is unable to swallow food without choking and aspirates it into her lungs, so thickend
liquid diet. Guess I was thankful her mind would not remember from one minute to the next.
I had brought 2 chocolate chip cookies she wanted them bad, my other half went to the van to retrieve them
I went out to double check with the nurse was told about the liquid headed Richard off at the elevator to keep them in his pocket
by the time we stepped back in with Mom she had forgotten about them.

So terribly hot and humid today so my big girls only gave me 3 eggs!
I am 2 eggs short for an order for tomorrow.
Not good.

My Dad said so far she likes the new place. The staff are friendly & the room is nice. Hopefully she continues to feel that way about it.

Temp I went to the VA Hospital Tuesday and got back Wednesday and it was cold and the light went out that was heating the just hatched chicks and I lost 4 so I have 1 left .

Aww, Gander that stinks that the light went out and you lost 4 of your chicks. I hope all went well at the VA Hospital.
I think your ladies are getting better at hiding the eggs from you! I found 1 egg under my barn. I only saw it because 1 of the meat chicks was under there & I was looking for it. Not sure how long the egg had been there, but it was long enough for it too begin developing even with no one sitting on it.
Spent the day at Grant"s Farm with my grandson & his Mom.
13 eggs today.

11/13 one was broke in the nest and one I picked up and it felt like it was just the inner membrane with no shell. 2/2 in the other coop.

They keep saying that my Mom will be transferred to an old folks home but the insurance
they have is very limited to here they will pay she use to have group health and when her
husband was passing they were fantastic giving 24/7 care for him in the home at the end
these guys suck big time.

poor chickens are hot. glad their coop is in the shade at least.
