102 right now, suppose to get up to 108 today over 105 all week.

6 eggs so far still hoping for #7 to confirm one of my pullets laying

3 eggs today





3 eggs from the control group

0 eggs from the free range chickens but crushed and emptied shells were found in the nest

Temp 107F degrees with overcast so it was very muggy today with a light breeze





Off day one of my oldest roo's was found this evening and his hens were laying on the ground with him so I checked this out and all the ladys were just fine but his head was a missing, just not a cool day at all ...



So for the last time good bye Buddy

Now I have to find a replacement breeding roo

Oh I always try to take some time with a new chicken owner as most think they know all about raising chickens .
