Very nice color... can't ever buy that in a store
You get harsher winter than we seem to only lived here one full yearI hate the winds. Always windy here...and we haven't put the final plastic on the coop to winterize it because we have to take the wall out to get the brooder out. Right now my plastic is blows in the wind and I'm keeping it tight with step in posts. It's supposed to get to -12 C (10.4F) here tonight
9 or 10 today I should've been paying more attention when I picked the later eggs this afternoon...lol.
nice. Our EE always lay smallest eggs so far but their yolks are the biggest. They are little eggs but still beautiful. My girls are fluffy Cochins.
wow!! Yes, wind is the worst. I'm not ready for that cold yet. Supposed to get to 20s starting tomorrow night for long term. UghI hate the winds. Quote: Ohhh that sounds nice...I would like that kind of winter. It would make things so much easier.
I hope this winter is drier. We had such a humid winter last year...so hard to keep the coop dry even with ventilation.
I dread the -40C weather (haha it's the same for you -40F) I have more roosters with single combs this year.
And a few hens with single combs.![]()
Quote: Same here. I got chilled yesterday and today (I'm still wearing a just a sweater and sweat pants) I guess I've got to crack out the winter wear.
Here our 14 day forecast is predicting +8C in the future. I doubt it will actually arrive...we're really lucky getting as far as we have.
We usually get winter as soon as Halloween comes.![]()
