Yep I got one hanging right now but I am going to have to cut him in quarters as he is so big that he wont fit in the oven or the big oil pan my brother wanted to drop a turkey into and the funny part is he was only 5 months old or a little more I think he just enjoyed eating all day and it all went to his chest as his this are very skinny for a turkey that is but his wins span was measured out to 61" inches so I wonder how big he would be in a year ... I was checking out the last two and the smallest one and he has something called swollen head so I put him on the other side of the yard in a 6'X10' cage by himself and is he making a lot of noise so far but with a top on it he is not getting out and yes he tried all the corners which worries me a bit as I think he might hurt himself if he keeps up all the banging and the articles say with swollen head just put ACV in the water for a few weeks so I well let you know in a few weeks how this comes out .
Great to know your mom is home and I know how she feels as I am afraid the VA is talking about putting me in a home till I get my blood sugar under control as they seem to think that 200 to 500 for the last summer ....
Enjoy your HOLADAYS EVERYONE![]()

Temp Mid 70's calm winds just a nice day .....
5 months is about right but I have noticed that the turkeys do very nice if there is constantly food available and they will eat just about anything wile scavenging but the only real problem is the Turkeys will stand right in front of you and block your way till some feed is tossed out for them and if they get a chance to see your toes you can count on some most unpleasant pecks but they defiantly will approach visitors as turkeys are not timed animals but mine really do not travel the yard as much as my geese do ..
One thing you will want to keep an eye on is their health so make sure your turkeys have all their shots before you buy them and at least a couple times a month put ACV in their water just for safety and health reasons ....
I have to get ready for Thanksgiving now as one of my brothers came by as I can not travel or should not due to an upper respiratory infection and I do not want to get worse .
I wish all a very HAPPY THANKSGIVING![]()
