3 today. Pearl, and interestingly, both of the Partridge Rocks (Penny and Patty) laid their first eggs today. They are a nice, darker brown. It's about time, at 27 weeks old.

Today -6

Roosters have been officially moved out of the coop as of yesterday.

Finally got the heated waterer set up for the girls today.

I ordered them this spring on sale but haven't used them. So far I'm impressed.
We were -5C, we dropped to -15C this week and we were -29C last night, -31C tonight.

The chickens are taking this cold better than I am.

1/5 my best producer has decided she wants to molt now that everyone else is almost done. Just got my order of 15 new chicks so hopefully this summer production will be back to "normal."
