How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

Only 18 yesterday from 30 layers

It got up to 77 degrees and mostly sunny. Over 10 hours of daylight, so weather wasn't a factor.
They must have been mad they didn't get as much attention as usual. We were down the road at my inlaw's place raking leaves all day, so I wasn't here to baby them as much. They've been around 2 dozen every day lately. Maybe today will be a higher count.

Thursday

Chicken eggs 5

I think the girls are relaxed again well at least the one that are safely locked up and the girls that are free ranging are either hiding their eggs or the crows are getting lucky .

Temps 66F degrees day and mid 40's at night .

Looks like many are steaming along in our egg numbers tell you
I am setting my sights on spring into summer want that warmth

Yes sex-links born in early spring will after their second molt, around 30 months slow down their egg laying from what I have read.
I plan to to invite my girls to dinner around 28 months. But will have to wait and see if I can. GC
Wow, all of mine have had a second molt, some third and fourth molt! None of these girls will be dinner - too old and scrawny. Plus my kids would be absolutely heartbroken.
The wind tore the metal roof off the run two days ago, so all the girls are upset, again.

1 egg today from 31 layers.

Got 4 this morning, and always get at least 2 more in late afternoon. Have 13 layers five months old. Don't know which are giving the eggs.

Just checked on my girls and have four more eggs. That's is a good day. 8/13

Tough spot to be in there age helps here that we are old also
kids over 35 I only have 5 older hens and yes they get mad
also others are not a year
then a few 3 or 4 months..I stagger the ages to keep layers
