I have never had a chicken with cross beak before. I think it had some other issues too. Was a late hatcher & almost didn't make it out. I figure it is nature, "survival of the fittest".

I keep forgetting to post. I've had 1 chicken egg and 1 goose egg every day this week. One day I thought Ruby didn't lay but found the egg later that evening. I guess her coop wasn't clean enough for her since she is having to share, she laid after I cleaned. LOL I can't wait until the others start laying, I think I bought them in October but not positive, it could have been November. I need to keep tecords!

the barred and RIR are large enough to breed to him if they let him

They run like crazy when he comes toward them. He is 3 times their size and weighs a lot more also. The pic doesn't really show how big he is, he looks closer to the size of the geese and they really don't mess with him. LOL

today is cloudy and starting to rain 75 degrees with chance of thunderstorms i have been getting one a day out of my 2 RIR went to check to day and got 2 !!!!!!!!! yay
