How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

are they all molting does or did look as like you could make a feather bed? you had said they where 1 1/2 right about time for the first big molt cool oatmeal and yogurt fed helps them get through a bit faster

I am here my more normal 18 of 27

No, the breeder I got them from lied about their age by months and I was too green to know what I was looking at. The chicken lady I went to help for thinks they should lay for the first time in the next 10 days or so. At least I haven't done anything majorly wrong to stop them laying, I guess. One has started crouching today, so I'm thinking the chicken lady will be exactly right.

No, Penny, I don't think we can chip a hole out, but it wasn't something we had even thought about. So, thanks for the suggestion.
The broody is down to 2 eggs.

I got 15 eggs today. I also moved the 2 turkey outside to their new coop. I made them go into the coop part when I went to lock them up. So, they should be safe!! Did anyone else go get a free donut today for National donut day?

Wow, I can't believe no one has been on this thread all day! I guess everyone is out enjoying their Saturday.
I got 16 eggs today. I finally let the Easter Egger coop back out. That is the coop that I moved the 4 hens to, so that I could use their pen as my turkey pen. At first the 4 hens would fly back over the fence and go back to their old coop, so I locked them in for several days (4, I think?). So today was the first time they all got to access their big yard. The good news is that they stayed in the correct area this time and even went back in to the correct coop at dark.:wee
Forgot to add that I got the turkey coop reinforced today and they enjoyed some time out grazing in the weeds and grass. They even went back in their coop when I called them :clap. Well, the run part of their coop. I don't think they will be in danger even though they are sleeping on the ground (like they were when they got attacked). Also, I installed a solar powered, motion detector activated light on their coop/run.
