How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

gosh already up to 4 here think I am in egg explosion getting just 1 or 2 the last few weeks

I have found up to 2 eggs at 5am, from 5 hens, earlier this week I found 2. Today I found 1. Yesterday none. GC

I have a heated waterer that uses a light bulb, so some light shines through the bottom. . So they find their way to the nest. . GC

Yes, I was inspired by the cookie tin heaters, but wanted something that would last years. I made it from an old stainless steel dutch oven. ., and plugged into a thermo-cube. . GC

Curious your birds lay so early. No light in the coop at 5 AM? My girls don't get up until the sun is up and seeing as their coop is a converted horse stall in an old barn with windows only on the west side, they don't get any direct morning sun so "wake up" time isn't very early.

I open coop and turn on lights at 5am. My Golden Comets have always laid early, most days by 9am, they are done. I don't add light in the evening, only in the morning. GC

Our last chicken, Mary, started laying today. We have been averaging 3 eggs from 6 chickens the last couple of weeks. It seems our Easter Egger Lulu may have decided to stop laying for the winter. She hasn't laid in about two weeks. Is this okay? She is acting fine and I don't have any concerns with her or any of the other chickens. Although, they did just finish treatment for coccidia.
