How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

Judging from the tracks in the snow, or lack thereof, the flock spent the day huddled in the run. We have a bunch of winter 'fraidy cats. My friend in Homer AK sends us photos of her flock frolicking in the snow eating salmon carcasses. I'd throw a trout or two in there for them but with my luck, one of the 3 bears in our county would bust up the run and eat half the flock! I'm curious now, anybody ever have bear trouble with their chickens? I see on "The Worst Predator" thread 25 votes for bears. Seems like an imsurmountable problem if you get one liking chicken.
2/8 today from the old faithful Amberlinks.

In 19 months, only a Coopers Hawk attack, November 2016 and she survived. I was home and heard the commotion and intervened. No problem with land crawling predators so far.
I don't toss kitchen or table scraps into pen. That will attract various predators. Only seeds and scratch grains.
Four inches of snow early this morning. I shoveled most of their pen, and managed to coax two girls out with some seeds. 20171214_093604.jpg . Others stayed under coop. 20171214_051815.jpg .
4/5 today. GC
