Yes but only managed a very small glimpse of it - it looks like a totally pale yellow chick just sticking it's head out - you can just see a little ball at about 1 o'clock in this photo (maybe it is hard to see as it is almost the same colour as Hermione! ).

11/17. But one was cracked in the nest box. I’m so sad! They didn’t eat it. So it must have happened on her way out. The shell was thin but it was still shelled.

I vote double yoker - mine all look like that (and i get a couple a week!).

I ended up 2/3 - funny that extra little silkie egg actually made a difference, my basket is looking a bit empty with only the 3 big girls laying and the silkies both broody

That's not a silkie egg in my picture, that's from an EE (Glinda is a BA); either Smokey, ObLiDi or Strawberry Shortcake as they all lay turquoise eggs. I included an SD card for scale.

I got four more regular sized eggs by the end of the day for a total of 6. A slow day, usually this time of year my ten hens average 7-8

33 Eggs Today, gave 7 fertile eggs to my Black Australorps that went broody since yesterday.

Only 1 for 5 on my current layers. Slowest day in a while. My quail continue to crank them out.
