She bleeds, I clean her up, Neosporin (w/o pain), bluekote, off to the infirmary. I bandage it if we can’t get it to stop bleeding. Then like 4-7 days later... she’s bleeding again. In 2 months... she’s bled about weekly. If it's not actively bleeding maybe leave the dressing off and open to the air and just keep it clean? Not sure but maybe bluekote on it? I'm sure someone can chime in here on that. Her ripping the dressing off could be causing more damage and slowing the healing process. Hard to tell without seeing it.
I feel like it might be time. I can’t fix her every time she reopens it. It’s like she isn’t bright enough to leave it alone. But she’s so sweet. And it would be my very first culling. I’m super sad.Might be time to cull no more bleeding or getting messed with sometimes it is kinder but up to you

Will you be able to candle them? I though it was pretty much impossible to see what is going on due to shell colour? I couldn't even see through my blue Araucana eggs so maybe I'm not the best to say anything - I also thought I'd seen viens etc on 4 infertile eggshave 14 black copper marans eggs in my incubator getting more excited daily
and only six days in so far gonna be a chore not look in before the 9th for the
first candle![]()
