One of my silkies started laying again today so 3/3 :celebrateso not sure what happens now with the chicks :idunnothough! anyone? Do I try to put them in the big coop? I've been doing some intergration but my 2 big girls are a bit mean to the little ones. I'm actually tempted to move the 2 bigs to the small coop and move all the babies and the 2 silkies in the big coop. Need to decide I guess over the next couple of days!

Yes pull the big meanies.. keep them out like two or three days it will change the pecking order
 
I understand about exhausted me also but weeding my new bulb beds they
just started to emerge have a new weed not sure where from shallow root base than heavens but bending is one of my no, no's with my spinal column closing in my neck
and no sleep last night making me fuzzy
 
Same here been exhausted between work and kids and all the relatives graduation parties. Grass growing like weeds had to mow 2x a week and weeds growing like grass it’s all over the place. @PouleChick I have the same dilemma with 2.5 month olds chicks and the new chicks from 3 momma hens. I tried to let them out with the flock seems like they will be peck at. The broody III that lost all her babies still sitting on imaginary eggs and chicks. :hit
 
7-10 pretty much every day. Yue (6 Y/O Ancona) laid a 74g on the 8th and an 80g yesterday :eek: Poor girl. I ate them today, both double yolk. Before, once she was full grown, her eggs were always 58g to 62g, mostly 60g. Then last year she was laying REALLY thin shells, often with some shell missing and often broken in the nest. She apparently spent the winter retooling the shell works and has been laying her regular size eggs with good shells this year. I hope these monsters aren't going to be her "usual", can't be good for her. Sounds like she needs to work on the spacing of egg release at the starting end of the line.

When my 3 original White Leghorns started laying, the first 3-6 months, I was afraid for them since their body were so small and the eggs coming out of them are gargantuans eventually it tapered to the size of extra large supermarket size till the end of their laying life.

All is well in the hen house and run today.

2 new chicks as well.

The dark chick is that blurry spot beside the lighter one. I intend to find out what is going on with the other four eggs tonight.
