How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

Far too late now for a response Poule, but they were fine for a few hours. Older eggs are fine for boiling and theoretically easier to peel than new eggs.

I'm teaching English this morning
English English or Australian English? ;)

I do 3 for a dozen 5 for 18.00 5 for a dozen banty
$3 for a dozen
$5 for 18
$5 for a dozen bantam eggs?
OK that is some confusing pricing. More per egg for a larger quantity? And people pay 2/3 more for SMALLER eggs than regular size eggs?

4 so far today. 2 in the enclosed box and for some reason 2 girls decided to make nests in the "feed room" where most of them have been hanging out during the cold weather.

I ended up in a rush to get out so didn't give them anything - they were happy to see me when I got home though! Only 2 eggs though - related?

A bit of both :lau:lau:lau Some of the worksheets / flashcards etc I've been using are off US sites - so some American english too :lau! For some veggies I've even written Uk / US / Aus next to the different words, and added the UK version (eg peppers / capsicums, eggplant / aubergine).

I'm off to bed, hoping for a good night as my little guy is sick and has a high temp so may be up with him bless him.

Is that American English: Boston, New York City, Southern or other?
Must be kinda confusing for the poor French speakers to decide if they should spell it: color or colour. Do they look for the engine in their car under the bonnet or the hood? Is the suitcase in the trunk or the boot? ;)

Sorry the little guy is sick Poule :( Hope you both get some rest.

Oh, and I got 6 eggs today.

It is confusing for all of us :lau:lau I tend to go with the Aussie option which in terms of spelling is (mostly?) the UK version. Most of our veg is the same as the US words - this is due to a lot of the greengrocers / earlier immigrants in both US and Oz being Italian descent where as the English tend to to go with the French options - like courgette / zucchini. For me bonnet and boot! My grandmother doesn't have a suitcase she has a port (from the French portmanteau) - and at school they still called them 'port racks' where we would but our school bags!
His temp went way up high over 40c again in the night (well 3am) but seems much better this morning thank goodness, obviously keeping him home again though.
